I have compared several schools before my decision. I want to learn Chinese well and I also like to know Chinese culture. And I think the attitude of the teacher, the consultant here are all very positive. I like to stay with them and get the care from th
It turned out the only reasonably priced flight I could find to Cochin I the south of India was with Qatar Airlines. I drove
to Madrid stayed in a hotel for the night and hopped a flight to Doha where I would change to a flight to Cochin. The flight was
uneventful except for an eccentric old French lady who invited to join her for lots of white wine. It made the trip go quite fast.
Upon arriving in Doha I looked at the schedule of flights of which there were many in the new airport and my flight wasn’t listed.
My ticket didn’t say the time of gate either. I walked around for about an hour looking for a human being to ask and could find
anyone. I only found lots of boards that didn’t announce my flight. Finally I saw a big line and I cued up. While waiting an African
family stood in line that really caught the eye. The man was over 6 feet tall dressed in white with a Turban at least another foot
and a half high. He looked like a Giant. His wife was also dressed all in white. Then came the Arabs dressed in purda or in a
borque. They were completely dressed in black wearing a black veil so only their eyes showed. There were a number of these
women around the airport. Their husbands all had a beard and wore a tea shirt and baseball cap.! Finally after an hour it was
my turn to get to the information desk. The woman wrote on my ticket C10 and off I went. I couldn’t find C10 but found a young
man usurping people onto the moving people mover. I showed him my ticket and he said oh your flight is boarding right now.
I thought I still had a few more hours but fortunately I was at the right place and the right time. I was the only single female flying
on that big plane that was almost full. Thus I started my adventure to India.
